My approach to leadership has been shaped over time by moments of observation, reflection, and listening. I am continually drawn back to John Lubbock’s words: “The most important thing is not so much that every child should be taught as that every child should be given the wish to learn.” They remind me that real learning begins long before a lesson is taught. I have come to understand that curiosity, wonder, and the desire to explore are the true foundations of meaningful education.
As I reflect on my work, I see a school not simply as a place of instruction, but as a space where curiosity is protected and nurtured. I think often about how children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and inspired. When students are encouraged to ask questions and follow their interests, learning becomes something they own, rather than something done to them.
Leadership, for me, is a quiet and intentional practice. It is about creating conditions where learning feels purposeful and joyful, and where children are trusted as active participants in their own growth. I believe deeply that when a child’s curiosity is awakened, learning extends far beyond the classroom and continues throughout their life. In striving to cultivate this environment, I am not only supporting academic growth, but also helping children develop a lasting love of learning—one that stays with them long after they leave our school.

My strength comes not just from my experience, but from my belief that every student can learn and grow when they feel supported and understood. Over my 12 years at TLC, I have seen how a little patience, encouragement, and care can make a real difference in a child’s learning journey. I believe that every student brings their own strengths and ideas, and I enjoy helping them discover and build on those qualities.
At each step of learning, I hope to guide students in developing both their skills and a sense of confidence in themselves. I aim to create classrooms where students feel safe to ask questions, explore new ideas, and try things in their own time.
I am proud to contribute to the TLC community through programs that encourage collaboration, self-expression, and emotional awareness. Through hands-on and interactive experiences, students not only learn important academic skills but also practice kindness, respect, and teamwork. My goal is to help students grow into capable, thoughtful learners who feel prepared for the next steps in their learning journey, while enjoying the process along the way.
